Other Developing BusinessesMarket Development Coordination
We are currently working to assist US environmental technologies and services expand into the international maritime environment industry. Using CQD
Journal and other contacts, we bring relevant US technologies and services to the attention of the international shipping community. In particular, we are promoting technologies and services to combat and prevent pollution in
the marina and nautical tourism trade.
Marina Development - International We are working with a consortium of marina businesses to introduce US
goods and services to appropriate international authorities and businesses. For example, we have US manufacturers of pump-out stations that would like to present their products. We also have an expert in marina
pollution prevention education who can show international marina managers various ways to increase business through environmental practices. We have other members as well.Miller Associates is the focal point bringing this
consortium together. We are working with environmental protection associations in Turkey and the Middle East to present this program. Marine Transportation of Contaminated Material Our main business at Miller Associates is marine transportation. Our Environmental Department provides transportation related services as
well. Through our interest in dredging and maritime environmental issues, we have allied ourselves with firms such as Dixie Carriers, Ltd. These firms are capable of providing transportation of large volumes of dredging
material safely, efficiently and economically. Dixie Carriers is one of the few U.S. flag carriers experienced in carrying contaminated dredge spoils over long offshore distances. We have solicited business to act as a
non-prime contractor to handle the transportation portion of dredging proposals and other large volume material via ocean.
